Oxyide Forge Commercial License
License terms governing the use of Oxyide Forge.
SOURCE OF THESE TERMS
This page presents the Oxyide Forge commercial-license terms established in the product documentation for v1.0.0. Sections marked ESTABLISHED or NOT PERMITTED restate wording that is already published by Oxyide. Sections marked PENDING are placeholders for clauses that have not been published yet — no legal terms are invented on this page. The complete license document ships with the Forge source release.
Applies to: Oxyide Forge v1.0.0. No revision date has been established for these terms.
Grant of rights
ESTABLISHEDSubject to the terms of this license and payment of the applicable purchase fee, Oxyide grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access, use, modify, and build upon the Oxyide Forge source code for developing your own applications.
You may use Forge for personal or commercial projects, customize its components, and distribute or sell applications you build using it, subject to the restrictions in this license.
This license does not grant you the right to resell, sublicense, redistribute, publish, or otherwise make the Forge source code available as a standalone product or as a competing starter kit. You may not remove or misrepresent applicable copyright notices or claim ownership of the original Forge source code.
The license applies to the Forge release identified in your purchase. Any additional rights or restrictions are governed by the complete license accompanying that release.
Permitted use
ESTABLISHEDThe commercial license is designed to allow customers to modify the source code and use the resulting software in their own applications, subject to the restrictions in the license.
The product is distributed as source code so you can inspect, modify and build on the foundation according to the commercial license.
Modification
ESTABLISHEDThe commercial license allows you to modify the source code and use the resulting software in your own applications, subject to the license restrictions.
Commercial application development
ESTABLISHEDThe commercial license permits building and selling applications that use Forge as a foundation.
Applications you build using Forge are governed by the license terms and may be sold commercially.
Restrictions on the Forge source code
NOT PERMITTEDThe commercial license does not permit reselling, redistributing or publishing the Forge source itself as another starter, template or competing product.
The commercial license does not permit publishing or publicly distributing the Forge source code.
Ownership
ESTABLISHEDOxyide and its licensors retain ownership of the original Forge source code, its associated documentation, branding, and other materials supplied as part of the Forge release, except for third-party components governed by their respective licenses.
Your purchase grants the usage rights described in this license; it does not transfer ownership of the original Forge source code or Oxyide trademarks.
You retain ownership of the original application-specific code, content, and other materials that you independently create, subject to any rights belonging to third parties and the terms of this license. Your ownership of those materials does not transfer ownership of the underlying Forge source code.
Third-party libraries, frameworks, and dependencies remain subject to their respective licenses. Nothing in this section overrides rights that cannot legally be restricted or transferred.
Updates and support
ESTABLISHEDUpdates will be published for 1 year for each user from the date of purchase.
Support is always available through the support page.
Disclaimer
ESTABLISHEDTo the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Oxyide Forge is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties or conditions that are not expressly stated in writing.
Oxyide does not guarantee that Forge will be uninterrupted, error-free, suitable for every use case, or compatible with every environment, dependency, or future software release.
Although Forge is designed to provide a structured starting point for backend development, you are responsible for reviewing, testing, configuring, securing, and maintaining the source code before using it in your applications or production environments.
You are responsible for assessing your application's requirements, regulatory obligations, security controls, backups, and operational readiness.
Nothing in this section excludes or limits any warranty or consumer right that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
Limitation of liability
ESTABLISHEDTo the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Oxyide will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, business opportunities, data, goodwill, or business interruption arising from the use of or inability to use Forge.
Oxyide is not responsible for application-specific modifications, deployment decisions, third-party services, security failures arising from your implementation, or the operation of applications you build using Forge, except to the extent liability cannot lawfully be excluded.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Oxyide's total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to Forge or this license will not exceed the amount you paid directly to Oxyide for the applicable Forge license during the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
These limitations apply only to the extent permitted by law. They do not exclude or limit liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited, including any liability that applicable law requires to remain available.
